My Name is Dawn Buchanan, I am pleased to introduce to you my new and improved website/blog (otherwise known as a Blogsite). I have decided to incorporate both sites into one so that everybody is able to stay on top of all the news, leave comments, view your sneak peaks as well as your private online galleries. So, come in and take a look around. If you like what you see, give me a call and we will schedule your session! I am a custom on-location and studio photographer which means I will come to you. Whether it be a park, your home or other favorite location of your choice, or if you prefer indoor studio shots, I have a studio located in Grundy Center, Iowa. I have lived in Grundy Center for 19 years and love it. I have 3 children; one girl and 2 boys and I have been married for 20 years. I love photography and everything that is associated with it. When my children were born, this love became an obsession, my passion... My style is laid back and fun, not rushed. You will not encounter rushed 20 minute sessions like you get at other popular chains and vendors. The sessions normally last 1-2 hours, this allows for the babies to be fed and young children to snack and for me to be able to capture your personality the best I can. So please allow plenty of time when scheduling your session. I do all my own editing and photographing. I work with my clients if they have a special request. Dawn Buchanan Photography is pleased to announce another style of photography added to her portrait studio.

Introducing “Classic Vargas” Vintage Style Pin-ups!
Full sessions COMPLETE with a package (including your session fee!) designed by me.
Your images will be perfected by me, Dawn Buchanan, to make you look like you walked into the era of 30‘s, 40‘s and 50‘s. Please take a look at my before/after images to see for yourself.

Classic Vargas pinup sessions- $350**
…includes…
12 month Calendar
1-16×20 professionally mounted on  double weight matboard
15- 3×5 finished images printed on Metallic paper (to give that extra “pop”)
Unlimited clothing changes and settings (up to 2 hrs. of shooting)

You can upgrade from prints to a 5×7 spiral flipbook album displaying 20 of your favorite images for $415

OR…instead of a calendar:
Picture yourself on the back of a set of playing cards! *one image only*
(With the same products mentioned above) $300

If you want to use my hair stylist and makeup artist (Robyn), there is an additional charge of $50 for hair or $75 for hair AND makeup payable to her the day of your session.

**Half of your session price is also payable at the time of your session. The other half is payable upon ordering.

FYI: The Community Playhouse in Cedar Falls, Iowa RENTS out vintage costumes! I think the rate is $20.00. That however, would be up to you, the client, but I do have a few items of vintage clothing and of course you are encouraged to bring whatever vintage items you may have as well.
